Unmask who you are in your rawest form at a Mask & Mirror Masquerade, where the thrill of disguise bridges entertainment & introspection. Melding the fiesta of costume with the 1st house need for self-awareness, this house party promises a gathering where you & you alone constellate the stars to enlighten a garden of gutsy soul discovery & honest self-expression.

Ascendant Artistry: Meditative mask-making — hand-crafting a masquerade that best symbolizes the hidden hues of your Ascendant/Rising sign &/or personality. With plain paper mache masks & decorative materials provided by Sam, this allows you to articulate the innermost aspects of yourself in concrete form.
Chameleon Canvas: An interactive confession board to anonymously scribe, in as few or as many words you feel called, the inner meanings & nuances inspiring your mask(s) for the evening. Enough space is carved out for every RSVP'ed participant ahead of time; in which, underneath each reserved section of messages, fellow masqueraders have space to write as they play oracle & divine the authors of these cryptic messages, guessing with respectful giggles as identities unfold across paper stars.
Mirror Memoirs: Transform a simple mirror, courtesy of Sam, more particularly the mirror frame, into a personalized, adorned testament to the evening. As the gathering ensues, fellow masqueraders use sharpie pens to annotate & sign the reflection part of the mirror with memorable insights regarding their honest impression of how they really see you.
Mirrored Missives: A writing exercise where you face the mirror & wield your pen in solitary dialogue. Here you write a letter to yourself as perceived through the eyes of someone else. This someone in the mirror can be literally anyone from a beloved friend/family member, to a person you deem your enemy, a fellow masquerader, or the universe itself. This practice is powerfully revealing, opening our eyes wide to how sensitive we are to others' perceptions of us & how often we let external judgments influence how we choose to treat our image through positive or negative self-talk.
Twin Portrait Parlor: Also dubbed the Photo Duo Booth, immortalize your masquerade transformation with side-by-side portraits - 1 veiled, 1 unveiled. The 2-part collage uniquely designed & printed is a duality of presence, a visual template that chronicles the transformative removal of our public masks in revelation of our private, realest selves.

Lexical Leagues: Engage with fellow wordsmiths in an array of verbal contests & games. Hone your spelling & articulation with precision in our tricky bees & "Um/Like" challenges, steer clear of existent languages with (improv) play in Gibberish Scene Interpretation & of forbidden words with skill in games of Taboo, & reveal your quick-wittedness with each round of Catch Phrase.
Twist-a-Tale Tournament: For those looking to test their storytelling skills through collaborative narrative building. Within a hat, aka the "Tale Topper," contains randomly mixed story prompts that include a character, a setting, & a situation. In groups of 3, the 1st storyteller begins to tell a story based on the prompt, limited to 1min. The cycle then continues until each teller tells their own twist to the evolving tale 3x (totaling 9min. stories to captivate listening gatherers).
